Wikimedia: I think I like it

I saved this image from Wikimedia and then uploaded it. This file, and most if not all others on Wikimedia, are licenced under the GNU Free Documentation License. The author is Melburnian, and the image is dated January 2007. It was taken at Maranoa Gardens, Balwyn, Victoria, and it's a photo of Grevillea longistyla. Wikimedia has some wonderful images.
It took me a while to work out how to upload - you have to click on the 'add image' icon on the toolbar while you are creating your post. Then you have the option to upload or insert a URL. I found the URL option didn't work, but I could save the image and then upload it.

I've started a second blog, http://sue10749rrblog.blogspot.com, where I can keep track of the various articles, websites etc that talk about aspects of Web 2.0.

Week 2: What I need in my learning toolkit

1. The time to do what's needed to complete all 23 things. The challenge (or obstacle, I suppose) is that I'm on leave from 12 November so I've a lot of work to do between now and then.
2. The determination to finish all 23 things.
3. The acceptance that I will probably not have time to do it all perfectly - better to aim for a pass than an HD!
4. A record of interesting things - websites, journal articles, newspaper articles, etc - that I find that help my understanding of the 23 things and how they relate to libraries. Perhaps a separate blog?
5. The ability to see how we could use any or all of the 23 things in providing a rewarding and relevant library service to our clients.
